Social Action
We know it is important to live out our faith and calling to serve others in practical ways, and we are always looking for new and exciting opportunities to impact people’s lives with the love of Jesus, and also to partner with other local churches and agencies.
In our desire to serve those around us we pray for the Lord’s guidance as we continually seek His will and purpose for us as a community of faith and action.
We work closely alongside Hadfield Coming Together,
particularly hosting their ‘Bellies Not Bins’ initiative, a food recycling project that collects and distributes food from local supermarkets which would otherwise be thrown away, and which has grown and developed since the Covid pandemic to provide practical support to many families. The food parcels are available to anyone for a small donation, and we can also ‘signpost’ people to other agencies for support and advice e.g. debt advice, food bank, local councillor, housing, mental health charities.
